Featured from my Etsy Favourites...Pocket Carnival

I decided I am going to do a little feature for each of the stores in my personal Etsy favourites list. There are so many wonderful artists and designers out there a million times more talented than I ever will be and I just want to share some of my favourites!

The first one I am going to feature is a fellow Australian designer Pocket Carnival (http://www.pocketcarnival.etsy.com/). She has so many cute cards, organic cotton purses and original prints it was hard to choose my favourites! She uses a combination of new & recycled materials & her packaging is also recycled!

As I am not a wordsmith I am just going to let her beautiful creations speak for themselves...Enjoy!

My first blog feature!!

I received a message on Etsy this week from the lovely Gay who has featured me in their blog!! Head over to http://www.blogger.com/www.idreamedisaw.com to have a look at my featured item under the Ode To Birds post ( http://www.idreamedisaw.com/2010/02/02/an-ode-to-birds/ ) and check out the other wonderful items also featured.

Thanks so much Gay!

the newest addition...

I had a lovely message on Etsy from a lady in Belgium asking if I had an English Bulldog keychain design. I didn't, so I decided to make one and see if she liked it. I scoured the internet for the cutest English Bulldog I could find to base my design on and created this...

Introducing Ruby! I loved her so much that I decided to make another to sell on Etsy!

more new stuff...

Couple more new keyring designs I have made the last day or so - a cute little whale I have named Wilma, and a new Priscilla the Pug!

New designs

Today I made 2 new charm designs. They are inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead sugar skulls. I can't decide which style i like best - the completely hand-stiched one or the felt applique one, so I have uploaded both to my etsy store to see whic one gets more attention.

Yay the weekend is almost here (Australia time). Big plans for this weekend include coming up with some new keyring & cushion designs & making more keyrings. I am so excited I have 3 sales so far since starting my Etsy store near the end of December and it such a buzz and really spurring me on to design and make more and more things!

This weekend is kinda a long weekend for most people as it is Australia Day on Tuesday. My Australia Day will be spent shopping for new fabrics (YAY!) as I get paid Monday, and making some new cushions!

Stay tuned for some new stuff!!

Sold my first cushion!

So excited!! I sold my first cushion yesterday! It was my Delilah the Boston Terrier design. I had listed her a couple of weeks ago and thought maybe she wouldn't find a home but she has! I need to get some nice tissue paper to wrap her in so when her new owner opens her parcel there is a nice present inside!

Farewell Delilah! xx
